چکیده

Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. (commonly known as bermudagrass) is a member of the family Poaceae. It C4 grass that can grow annually and perennially with clone reproduction seed-setting. not only used forage but also weed in many crops. grows along roadsides, barren lands, irrigated seacoasts, where soil salinity major problem. Although bermudagrass distributed worldwide, it shows limited growth under saline conditions. Under salt stress, whole-plant disturbed quality compromised morphologically. At physiological level, shoot development affected owing to resultant oxidative although total rate photosynthesis greatly affected. Biochemical changes include change K+/Na+ ratio; antioxidant enzymes such superoxide dismutase peroxide increase, while catalase activity slows down. The anatomical are visible crystals on leaf surface glands mesophyll surface. In this paper, morphological, physiological, biochemical, proteomic mechanisms stress discussed, drawing study several genes ECA4, RAN1, MHX1, psbA1, psbB1, psbP, psbY at molecular level. Therefore, current review aims understand how adapts well

Salinity Stress and Salt Tolerance

Salinity is one of the most serious factors limiting the productivity of agricultural crops, with adverse effects on germination, plant vigour and crop yield (R Munns & Tester, 2008). Salinization affects many irrigated areas mainly due to the use of brackish water. Worldwide, more than 45 million hectares of irrigated land have been damaged by salt, and 1.5 million hectares are taken out of pr...

Physiological and biochemical responses of Hypericum perforatum to salt stress and salicylic acid spraying

Salinity is one of the main obstacles to the successful production of agricultural products. Hormonal compounds such as salicylic acid (SA) as plant growth regulators can have different physiological and biochemical effects in plants under salt stress. In present research, the effects of different concentrations of sodium chloride (2, 6 and 10 dS/m) and foliar application of SA (0, 0.25 and ...

Physiological and antioxidant enzymatic activity responses of rootstock of sapodilla to salinity stress

Sapodilla is one of the important fruit crops in tropical area which has problem with seed germination. So Manilkara hexandra (kherol) is generally used as a rootstock for sapodilla. This experiment was performed to assess the morphological changes and antioxidant enzymatic activity of Manilkara hexandra seedling under salinity condition. A pot experiment was carried out in a greenhouse using d...

Comparison of physiological and molecular responses of Melissa officinalis L. to osmotic stress imposed by drought and salinity with iso-osmotic potential in hydroponic culture

This study was performed to compare some physiological and molecular responses of lemon balm to osmotic stress imposed by drought and salinity stresses with equal osmotic potential in hydroponic culture. Growing lemon balm plants in hydroponic culture were treated with drought and salinity stress using polyethylene glycol 6000 and sodium chloride for 14 days. Then, seedlings were sampled to eva...
